This is unrefined coconut oil that is raw, yet shelf stable. Lauric acid and other medium chain fatty acids naturally occur in this virgin oil and are used by the body for metabolism. 

First the fresh coconuts are opened and grated. Then the grated coconut is dehydrated at low temperatures, drying the coconut into fresh, crisp flakes. These flakes are then "pressed" to yield a delicious oil that also contains many of the nutrients and flavors of the fresh coconut. This oil is a bit cloudy because of the proteins and other components it contains, so it is then lightly filtered to remove particles of larger size.

This oil is one of the most flavorful virgin coconut oils ever produced. It tastes like coconut candy on the tongue as it melts in your mouth and adds delicious flavor to baked goods.
