A traditional South African sausage. “Boer” means farmer and “wors” means sausage, literally ‘farmer’s sausage’ (in Afrikaans). It contains no garlic. Traditional Boerewors is an unlinked prime beef sausage and comes in one continuous length. This product has its origins hundreds of years ago when early settlers to South Africa made it.
