During step two of checkout there is a box where you can specify your requirements on how you'd like to have your steaks cut and how many pieces you'd like for the quantity ordered. If you order 1 kg (1,000 gms) you might want that cut into 4 x 250 gm steaks, 3 x 333 gm steaks or perhaps 5 x 200 gm steaks. If you want 250 gm steaks that are 1" thick you can request this however many times it is impossible to meet  both weight and thickness criteria. We will use the thickness criteria and disregard the weight. The weight may be considerably bigger than ordered. A 1" piece of US Ribeye can weight up to 450 gms. A 1" piece of NZ Ribeye is about 250 gms. but these vary dramatically.

If you want a piece of ribeye, sirloin, chuck etc. left whole for roasting you must indicate this during checkout or it will be cut into steaks by default. Likewise, if you are ordering lamb or pork and require a single piece for roasting, you must indicate this in the instructions box. This is done during step 2 of the checkout procedure.

N.B. - it is almost impossible to cut a 200 gm steak from US Prime Ribeye or Sirloin. This meat comes from large animals. We can try but you'll likely be able to read a newspaper through it. It may be less than 1/4" (6 mm).

Please enter '25' in the box if you want one whole leg and state in the instructions; '1 whole leg' when checking out. If you're ordering less that one whole leg and require a single piece for roasting, please specify during checkout.

NZ Black Angus Ribeye. Ribeye steaks are tender succulent steaks cut across a whole boneless ribeye. They are round or oval shaped and are larger than Tenderloin steaks with a fine, slightly open grain and some marbling. Please indicate desired steak size during checkout by leaving instructions in the box. If you would like it left as one piece for roasting, let us know. By default we cut ribeye into steaks.

This New Zealand Black Angus product is natural beef with no artificial ingredients being used during processing. No growth hormones have been used while raising these animals.

New Zealand Black Angus Sirloin beef. Sirloin is cut from boned loin. It is tender, fine, close grained meat with exterior fat along one side. A line of gristle lies under the fat layer. Not quite as succulent as rib eye but an excellent grilling steak.Sirloin can be roasted at high or low temperatures, grilled or panfried. To avoid confusion we have added Porterhouse to the name as this is what the steak is known as in most Commonwealth countries. In the U.S., this is a NY strip.

Meaty bone in beef short ribs from naturally raised but not organically certified New Zealand Black Angus grass fed cattle. The ribs are about 6 inches long. 

Approximately 1.5 - 2 kg per pack of 4 ribs. Sold per pack.

SPECIAL - WHOLE AUS VEAL RACK - SPECIAL

A smaller version of prime rib with 6 - 7 rib racks weighing 2 - 2.5 kg. (one single rib of prime rib can sometimes weigh 1.5 kg). These make for easy serving as each person can be given one rib instead of having to carve a full prime rib roast. Wow your guests with this impressive, tender and tasty piece of meat.
